FILTRO (V60)

How to brew filter coffee (V60 or Kalita)?

Filter coffee, also known as pour-over, is a slow and precise brewing technique that highlights the sweetness and subtle aromas of coffee. Using tools like the V60 or Kalita, you can achieve a clean, balanced, and complex cup: perfect for Caffè Suiso’s single origins.

Although easy to prepare, filter brewing allows for high extraction quality. During brewing, freshly ground coffee is in contact with hot water for a short time, extracting only the best flavors.

Steps

1. Prepare the filter: place a paper filter and rinse it with hot water to remove the papery taste.

2. Add coffee: use 15 g of medium-ground coffee.

3. Bloom: pour 40 g of water at 93 °C and let it bloom for 30 seconds.

4. Brew: slowly pour the remaining 250 g of water in 2–3 circular pours.

5. Serve: once dripping stops, remove the filter and enjoy.

The filter method emphasizes the clarity and complexity of artisan coffees. Perfect for those seeking a delicate, balanced sensory experience.
